COVID-19 Update for Our Patients
On behalf of Aubrey Podiatry, we would like to update you on how we are working to address the challenges of COVID-19 as we closely monitor this unfolding situation.
The wellbeing of not only our patients here at Aubrey Podiatry but the South Canterbury community is of the utmost importance to us. We are following the advice from the World Health Organisation and the Ministry of Health. In line with their recommendations we have implemented several additional health and safety measures across all our clinics.
In our Clinic
All our clinics will remain open if it’s safe to do so.
Louise will no longer shake hands when greeting any patients and try to maintain the distance between herself and patients all times. If this is not possible then restrict time together to just 20 minutes to reduce exposure.
For patients in our clinics, we have hand sanitiser available in the waiting room. Also, on top of our usual hygiene standards sanitising our counter tops and podiatry chair after use. We are now adding our keyboards and door handles so please don’t be offended if these items are sanitised post use.
All Patients will be required to fill in a form noting whether they have been overseas within the last 14 days or been in contact with someone who has, Also if you bring other family/friends along for your consultation, their names and phone numbers will be documented for traceability reasons.
Patients can pay by bank transfer on the day of their treatment instead of using eftphos facilities if they would prefer.
House call Services
Louise will contact all house calls prior to visiting to reassure them that we are taking this seriously and they are confident of their own health status.
Louise will also be enquiring about the situation in the patient’s home to ensure no one in the house is unwell, currently self-isolating or at risk of having contracted the virus due to suspected contact or international travel
Louise will be offering all those over 70 of age or immune-comprised patients house calls rather than coming into the clinic if they want it.
Just as in the clinic, Louise will always also be trying to maintain the recommended distance of 2 metres, outside treatment of the patient. Not shaking hands and restricting consultations to 20 minutes.
If you are unwell or have been overseas within the last 14 days:
For your own, and other people’s well-being and enjoyment, please stay home if you are unwell, or have been experiencing symptoms. We would ask you to please rest up and save your visit to Aubrey Podiatry for a later date.
We also ask that the patients are mindful of each other adequate space within the waiting room at the clinic.
As this situation develops, we will continue to update our website with up to date information.
Our Team at Aubrey Podiatry
If any member of our team is feeling unwell or experiencing any of the symptoms of COVID-19 they must remain at home and if someone appears to be unwell while they are at work they will be asked to go home.
Louise has cancelled all non-essential domestic and international travel and will be updating our team on a regular basis on any changes with Covid -19.
Our team will be practising enhanced personal and work station hygiene standards in line with the Ministry of Health recommendations
Please be reassured the entire Aubrey Podiatry team are taking this situation very seriously as the health and wellbeing of our patients and staff remains the number one priority.
Our patient’s health and safety are our top priority. We hope that if we keep up with a few simple hygiene practices, we can do our part to stop the spread of Covid-19. This is a challenging time, but we’re all in this together ❤️.
Louise loves her career as a podiatrist, the work she does and seeing clients improve in their health and well-being.
